Velox pulse is an XAUUSD M5 breakout EA with configurable confirmation filters, ATR-based protection and two profit targets. Its public parameter reference is more detailed than its proprietary entry formula. The strongest evaluation therefore examines how the documented filters and staged exits alter exposure and trade selection.
The described filters can require a candle close beyond a level, reject an opposing wick or wait for a one-bar retest. These options can produce fewer and later entries, not merely improve the same set of trades. Compare the accepted breakout level and fill with the version where the filter is disabled, while holding sizing and costs constant. A later entry may avoid one false move while missing part of another.
Partial closure has volume constraints
At the first target the EA can move protection toward break-even and close half the position, with the remainder managed toward another target or trailing exit. On a small order, half the volume may not match the broker’s permitted minimum or step. Verify how the implementation handles that case. Also distinguish fixed-distance trailing from ATR trailing, because a volatility change can alter the remaining distance to the exit.
Configuration and source consistency
The reference defines session times in broker/server hours and says the end hour is exclusive. It also documents Monday and Friday restrictions plus daily and total drawdown guards. Check those transitions in the journal. The description contains two different quoted prices, so the current MQL5 purchase panel is the appropriate place to confirm cost; neither older promotional text nor a research summary should override it.

Velox pulse EA: tester demo and licence options
MQL5 provides tester-only demonstrations for Market EAs and indicators. Open the original listing to check its demo option. An EA demo runs its trading logic in the Strategy Tester; an indicator demo is viewed in visual testing mode. This is different from receiving a free licence to run the full product on an online chart.
For Velox pulse EA, use the setup notes above to identify what the tester can demonstrate and what still requires a supported account, data source or publisher guidance. Read MQL5’s product-testing rules ↗

Free local access. Clear product terms.
YO4X offers free local access to its supported strategy catalogue through the Windows app on supported MT5 demo accounts. This research page does not confirm that Velox pulse EA is included or compatible.
A free full-product licence is not confirmed here for Velox pulse EA. Check the publisher’s current purchase, rental or tester options on MQL5. YO4X does not distribute the publisher’s EX5 file from this page.
Ask support about current app availability before choosing a strategy. Arbitrary EX5 uploads are not supported; cloud execution and brokerage costs are separate.
No. The author explicitly keeps the internal detection and weighting proprietary. The public input reference explains configuration without exposing the entire algorithm.
Does a retest filter always improve results?
No. It changes entry timing and the set of accepted trades. Evaluate missed continuation moves and false-break reductions under the same cost assumptions.
