Bring a strategy you understand

MQ5 imports are analysed before they can become a supported runtime package. An EX5 file cannot be uploaded and run directly.
Compatibility is specific.
Only a restricted subset is supported. A conversion that cannot preserve the required behaviour stops with a finding.
Demo before live.
Check the account, broker symbol and strategy settings in the current demo workflow. Live-money execution remains subject to release gates.

Understand a setup before you depend on it.
Historical testing applies strategy rules to past market data. It can help you inspect trade behaviour, drawdown and sensitivity to settings. It cannot establish what a strategy will earn in future market conditions.
YO4X currently saves testing requests. The local engine that will execute those requests and produce results is still in development.
MT5 automation, explained

YO4X is a Windows workspace for supported MT5 strategies, bot configuration and trading activity. These are the practical differences to understand before choosing how to run an automated strategy.
Strategy software and your broker
A strategy defines trading rules. Your broker provides the account, available symbols and execution conditions. YO4X brings supported strategy settings and account activity into one desktop; funds stay with the broker you use.
Local execution uses your Windows PC and needs the app and connection to remain available. Cloud execution moves that workload to remote infrastructure. YO4X currently follows a local demo workflow; dedicated cloud runners are planned.
MQ5 is source code that can be reviewed for compatibility. EX5 is a compiled MetaTrader program. YO4X analyses supported MQ5 behaviour before creating a runtime package; it does not run arbitrary EX5 uploads.
A demo workflow lets you observe a configured strategy on a demo account. Historical testing simulates behaviour using past data. They answer different questions, and neither is a promise of future returns.

Before you start
A few things worth knowing.
What is an Expert Advisor (EA)?
An Expert Advisor is a program that applies trading rules in MetaTrader. Its behaviour depends on its code, settings and market conditions. YO4X supports its own strategy runtime and a restricted MQ5 import workflow; compatibility with every MetaTrader Expert Advisor is not implied.
Is YO4X a broker or a trading signal service?
YO4X is desktop software for managing supported MT5 strategies. Your trading account and funds remain with your broker. The app provides configuration and monitoring; it does not promise profitable trades or replace your broker’s records.
What should I review before starting a demo bot?
Check the selected account, broker symbol, timeframe, order volume and strategy inputs. Confirm that the configuration is intended for your demo account, then review its activity in the journal. Local operation also depends on your PC, application and internet connection staying on.
What is YO4X?
YO4X is a Windows desktop for MetaTrader 5 strategies. It brings your strategy catalogue, bot settings, journal and account controls into one app. The current execution path is gated for demo use; live-money trading is not yet released.
Do I need to install MetaTrader 5?
The supported YO4X desktop connection does not require a separate MetaTrader terminal. You need 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, an internet connection, a YO4X account and a supported MT5 demo account you control. Setup installs Microsoft Edge WebView2 if needed.
Can I bring my own Expert Advisor?
MQ5 source can be submitted for compatibility analysis. Support is limited to a restricted subset, and unsupported behaviour is reported rather than guessed. YO4X does not execute EX5 files or arbitrary uploaded code.
What happens when I close my laptop?
Local bots depend on your PC, the app and your connection staying on. Closing the current app, sleeping the PC or losing connectivity interrupts local operation. Cloud 24/7 is planned to provide execution independent of your PC; it is not available to purchase yet.
Is local execution free?
The YO4X product model keeps local execution unmetered. Strategy licences can have their own terms. Planned cloud execution will be charged per runner, with prices published when plans become available.
Where is my broker password stored?
In local mode, your trading password stays in a Windows-protected vault on your PC. It is not sent to YO4X servers. Planned cloud mode will require a separate managed cloud vault. YO4X does not hold your trading funds; your broker holds the account.
Can I backtest in YO4X today?
You can save a backtest request with its strategy, inputs and date range. The historical execution engine is still in development, so saved requests do not yet produce results. Local historical testing is planned to run without using your trading password.
