Changing the strategy list affects open-trade management
The publisher says disabled strategies stop placing and managing trades. Before changing StrategiesToRun, inspect the positions and pending orders belonging to each strategy and follow the author’s closure guidance. Distinct magic numbers and comments make that audit possible. A portfolio optimization with selected historical drawdown limits remains a historical selection exercise; it does not establish the same limit for future account losses or different broker contracts.
Bitcoin availability and the trading window differ
Although a broker may quote Bitcoin over the weekend, SomaBTC’s described defaults avoid weekend operation and also apply a daily session boundary. Removing those restrictions changes the conditions under which the portfolio was optimized. The OnlyUp sizing option can retain peak capital rather than reduce size after a drawdown. Check that behaviour, the optional lot cap and margin reservation for simultaneous pending orders before interpreting a rising balance curve as constant-risk performance.
