Precise Pair Trading Pro EA

Precise Pair Trading Pro trades the relative behaviour of two selected symbols. The publisher describes entering when their relationship diverges and closing as that imbalance narrows, with one position per symbol rather than a recovery grid. This is a two-leg strategy: the combined exposure, cost and timing of both orders matter. It should not be assessed as two unrelated directional trades simply because the terminal displays separate tickets.

Precise Pair Trading Pro EA research guide

The relationship can change while a trade is open

A historical correlation is an observation, not a contract between markets. Two instruments can remain divergent longer than a fitted model expects or develop a different relationship altogether. The EA’s minimum-correlation filter and historical depth affect which relationships are accepted. Evaluate what happens after entry when the relationship weakens further, not just examples where it quickly converges. Include the combined floating loss and the duration of unresolved trades in the review.

Thresholds trade frequency against selectivity

The listing exposes entry and exit thresholds, a close target and beta smoothing. Changing them can alter both the number of opportunities and how long positions remain open. A higher threshold may select larger deviations, but should not be described as inherently safe without evidence. Larger deviations can also reflect a structural change. Use out-of-sample periods and inspect sensitivity around the selected values rather than choosing the single best historical setting.

Two-leg execution adds practical constraints

Both symbols need compatible trading sessions and sufficient data. If one market is closed or an order is rejected, the intended paired exposure may not exist. Compare tick availability, spread and execution timestamps for both legs. The publisher recommends real-tick testing and broker-specific trading-hour work; those details are particularly relevant when instruments have different session breaks. Lot assumptions stated for Gold and Forex should be checked against the actual contract values and account currency before use.

Precise Pair Trading Pro EA: tester demo and licence options

MQL5 provides tester-only demonstrations for Market EAs and indicators. Open the original listing to check its demo option. An EA demo runs its trading logic in the Strategy Tester; an indicator demo is viewed in visual testing mode. This is different from receiving a free licence to run the full product on an online chart.

For Precise Pair Trading Pro EA, use the setup notes above to identify what the tester can demonstrate and what still requires a supported account, data source or publisher guidance. Read MQL5’s product-testing rules ↗

Precise Pair Trading Pro EA questions

Does high correlation guarantee convergence?

No. Correlation measures co-movement over a chosen sample; it does not ensure a deviation will close within an acceptable time or loss. Inspect behaviour when the relationship changes and account for both legs’ costs and exposure. A paired label does not remove directional or execution risk.

What if only one leg opens?

That is an operational scenario to test using the current manual. A rejected or delayed order can leave exposure different from the intended pair. Review logs, session availability and the software’s response rather than assuming the second leg is always filled simultaneously.
