ArtQuant Gold EA

ArtQuant Gold is a Gold-only portfolio of up to twenty internal modules using grid-based multi-position cycles. The publisher provides detailed controls for concurrency, volume and losses, while explicitly stating that stop, target and trailing management are virtual. This is the central operational distinction: the terminal must keep running for those software-managed exits to act. A module limit is also not the same as a position limit.

ArtQuant Gold EA research guide

One module can contain several positions

The Maximum Active Modules input governs concurrent cycles, while a separate order-per-cycle limit constrains tickets inside a cycle. Review both alongside total and per-module volume caps. A value of zero disables several limits according to the documentation, so a zero should not be assumed conservative. Custom module maps can override individual switches; inspect the effective portfolio after loading a set file. Reducing module count can change which opportunities are blocked rather than reducing risk in a perfectly proportional way.

Virtual protection has a connectivity dependency

The publisher says its stop, target and trailing levels are not sent as conventional broker-side orders. During a terminal, VPS or connection outage, the EA cannot execute those actions until operation is restored. Test reconnection and keep the base magic number unchanged while cycles remain active so the software can recognise them. The account guards cover ArtQuant positions only; manual trades and other EAs can still affect equity, margin and broker stop-out risk outside that scope.

Historical tests omit the live calendar filter

The description explicitly says the USD economic-calendar filter is ignored in testing and optimisation. A historical run therefore cannot reproduce the exact live news exclusions. Separate portfolio selection from sizing optimisation and retain an untouched validation period. The Cycle Guard can prevent some voluntary closures while a net cycle is negative, but forced protection actions still apply. Inspect long unresolved sequences, financing costs and forced losses rather than judging only the frequency of positive cycle closures.

ArtQuant Gold EA: tester demo and licence options

MQL5 provides tester-only demonstrations for Market EAs and indicators. Open the original listing to check its demo option. An EA demo runs its trading logic in the Strategy Tester; an indicator demo is viewed in visual testing mode. This is different from receiving a free licence to run the full product on an online chart.

For ArtQuant Gold EA, use the setup notes above to identify what the tester can demonstrate and what still requires a supported account, data source or publisher guidance. Read MQL5’s product-testing rules ↗

ArtQuant Gold EA questions

Does setting one active module allow only one trade?

No. The publisher explicitly distinguishes modules from positions. A single module can maintain a multi-position cycle. Use the order-per-cycle and exposure limits as separate controls, and verify their effective settings rather than inferring total risk from module count.

Are ArtQuant’s loss limits account-wide?

The documented guards and close commands identify the EA’s own positions. Other trades still influence overall equity and margin. Review the whole account separately, especially when several systems run together, and do not assume an EA-specific threshold protects unrelated exposure.
